Biography

My research interests are in comparative politics and political economy, focusing on institutions, economic and political development, and elite and mass political behavior in both contemporary and historical settings of Central and Eastern Europe.

Before joining CUHK-Shenzhen, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Brown University and a Fellow with the Program for Advanced Research in the Social Sciences (PARISS) at the Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) of Duke University.

I defended my Ph.D. dissertation at the Department of Political Science at Duke University in 2022. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I graduated with a BSc in Economics from Tilburg University, an MSc in International Political Economy from Nanyang Technological University, and an MA in Economics from Duke University.
