Biography

Prof. Pan Wang graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing with a bachelor degree in Biological Sciences in 2005. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in the U.S. in 2010. During her Ph.D. study, she received the Predoctoral fellowship from the U.S. Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program. Then she worked in the Institute of Zoology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing as an Assistant Investigator. She joins the School of Life and Health Sciences in Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) in August, 2019.

 

Prof. Wang's main research interest is to study the pharmacology/physiology of steroid hormones as well as toxicology of environmental compounds using a variety of approaches, such as molecular modeling, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, experimental animals, etc. She is also interested in cancer drug development drug metabolism and mechanisms of liver diseases. Prof. Wang has published more than 40 scientific papers in the world's leading pharmacology/toxicology journals.
