Before joining CUHK-Shenzhen as an Assistant Professor (teaching), I completed my PhD at the University of Oxford where I studied formal semantics. My research focuses on incorporating the insights of cognitive linguists into formal semantics by developing formal models of cognitive theories. I am particularly interested in attempts to model polysemy, concept combination / composition, and metaphor.
