Biography

Wenwei Lin received his Ph.D. degree in Accounting from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota in 2024. Wenwei's research lies at the intersection of Fintech and Financial Accounting. His recent work has studied issues related to trading innovation and friction, information disclosure, and cryptocurrencies. He has published in Review of Financial Studies and Behavioral Research in Accounting. In 2025, Wenwei received the Notable Contribution to Accounting Literature Award from the American Accounting Association for his coauthored paper "Is There a Confidence Interval for That? A Critical Examination of Null Outcome Reporting in Accounting Research".
