Biography

He received his B.Eng. degree with specialization in Biomedical Engineering from the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and M.Eng. in Mechatronic System and Design from the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineeering, of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2005 and 2007 respectively. In 2008, He worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Engineering Research Center for Computer-Integrated Surgical Systems and Technology (ERC CISST), in the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. After that, he continued to pursue his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Phee Soo Jay, Louis, in NTU and successfully completed his defense in 2013. Prior to CUHK(SZ), he was with the SUTD-MIT International Design Center, at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), as a research fellow. He joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen in 2017.


Over the past decade, he had published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, including top-notch journals in the fields of Mechatronics and Biomedical Engineering, such as IEEE/ASME Trans on Mechatroncis, Annals of Biomedical Engineering. His overall citation on Google Scholar is 975 (h-index 14), Scopus is 660 (h-index 13).
