Biography

Dr. Sun received his B.Eng. degree with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering from the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and M.Eng. in Mechatronic Systems and Design from the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2005 and 2007 respectively. In 2008, He worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Engineering Research Center for Computer-Integrated Surgical Systems and Technology (ERC CISST), at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. After that, he continued to pursue his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Phee Soo Jay, Louis, at NTU and completed his defense in 2013. Before CUHK(SZ), he was with the SUTD-MIT International Design Center, at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), as a research fellow. He joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen in 2017.


Dr. Sun had published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. His overall citation on Google Scholar is 1900 (h-index 20).
