Biography

Dr. HE Jinbo is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Applied Psychology, School of Humanities and Social Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. His main areas of research are eating behaviors, body image, and research methods. Professor HE Jinbo's research mainly focuses on the etiology, health consequences, and intervention strategies of eating and weight disorders in the Chinese context. Professor HE Jinbo has obtained grants, as a PI (Principal Investigator), from the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Planning Fund, and the Shenzhen Education Planning Fund. Professor HE Jinbo has published over 90 papers as the first or corresponding author. In recent years, Professor HE Jinbo's research papers have been published in prestigious journals in the field, such as Clinical Psychology Review, Health Psychology Review, Body Image, and International Journal of Eating Disorders, and Structural Equation Modeling. Professor HE Jinbo is an associate editor of the Journal of Eating Disorders and editorial board members of the International Journal of Eating Disorders, Body Image, Eating and Weight Disorders-Studies on Anorexia, Bulimia and Obesity. Professor He Jinbo received the 2019-2020 Presidential Exemplary Teaching Award and the 2022 Young Researcher Award of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.
