Argument-writing; generative debate; writing tutoring
Rahman Kevin Smith teaches ENB 2002 (Ethical Public Speaking and Debate) for sophomores majoring in English. He is also a full-time tutor in the SALL-Centre where he conducts weekly workshops on a variety of subjects.

Kevin is focused on the development of excellent critical thinking and communication skills in students. Through direct action, he pursues these goals. He is Shenzhen's most well-known, most skilled, and most experienced English Debate instructor. He works closely with Shenzhen University as an advisor to their competitive English Writing program. He is presently a member of a team of professional educators and writers at Johns Hopkins University that together work towards the improvement on the art and science of teaching Writing at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
