Biography

Dr. Mengfei Liu is a passionate educator, teacher educator, and life-long learner. She earned her Master of Education from Vanderbilt University and her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida. Prior to joining the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow and instructor at Purdue University. Dr. Liu possesses rich experiences teaching at the K-12 and university levels in the United States, working with learners and preservice teachers with various backgrounds. Her current research interests include language and content education, translanguaging, multilingual learners, teacher education, and language ideologies.
